Carmen Suite No. 2, from the famous opera by Georges Bizet, consists of vocal numbers in the opera. The voice parts are given to various orchestral instruments in the suite. This transcription is in the original keys, except (#11) Danse Bohême, which is transposed up a half step from the original key.
Unlike other concert suites, many music directors take the liberty of re-ordering the suite or selecting a few movements from both the first and second suites and program it as a "Carmen Suite."
Parts No. 35–52 are transposed from the original parts which are indicated in brackets, with or without modification.
