Between 1866 and 1901, the Norwegian composer, Edvard Grieg wrote 10 books of Lyric Pieces for piano. Wedding Day at a Troldhaugen is the 6th piece in the Lyric Pieces, Book 8, Op. 65, published in 1897. This popular piece is not only a standard repertoire for pianists, but also arranged for and performed by various musical ensembles. While this transcription is transposed a whole step down from the original key, it's not otherwise simplified.
The parts in bold are necessary for this transcription; in other words, this transcription can be performed with as few as 13 players. This transcription is also suitable for a medium sized, or even large band for outdoor performance.
