L’Arlesienne (The Girl from Arles) Suite No. 2 was scored after the composer’s death by Ernest Guiraud, a composer and close friend of Bizet’s.
The Intermezzo (#2) is performed by many vocalists as Agnus Dei with the Latin text. The Pastorale (#1) is transposed half-step down from the original key.
The Farandole (#4) is in the original key. There is another version, which is a whole-step down, should the conductor prefer it.
